About Keys & Paws

Hello, I'm Lisa.  Founder of Keys & Paws Cat Care at Home.

I provide calm, loving in-home cat care designed to keep your cats relaxed, comfortable, and safe in the place they know best their own home.

As a previous Cats Protection volunteer and lifelong cat lover, I understand how important trust, patience and routine are for cats while their owners are away.

I've always loved animals, I have over 30 years hand-on experience with cats and many

other animals. I am DBS checked, Pet First Aid trained Level 2, including CPR.

I hold a Level 3 qualification in Animal Management, along with many other CPD Certificates and Diplomas which are always available to view at the Meet & Greet.

Why I Started Keys & Paws

I created Keys & Paws to offer a calmer, more personal alternative to catteries and rushed drop-in visits.

Cats are happiest in familiar surroundings, with familiar smells, routines, and quiet reassurance. I understand that every cat is different - some love play and attention, while others simply want calm companionship and consistency.

Cats are sensitive animals and many do not cope well with the stress of travel, unfamiliar environments, or noisy catteries. Staying at home allows them to keep their normal routines and daily comforts, helping them to feel safer an more settled while their owners are away. My approach is centred around patience, trust, genuine care, and helping cats feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away.

My focus has never been to taking on huge numbers of bookings, unlike some larger-scale pet sitting services that often offer rushed "up to 20 minute" drop in's.  Instead, it's about offering quality care, trusted relationships and giving each cat the time, attention, and calm environment they deserve.

A Little About Me

I've always been drawn to caring roles and have experience with many different animals over the years including cats, kittens, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, birds, and horses. Cats have always held a special place in my heart, and I genuinely enjoy understanding their different personalities, routines, and quirks.

Alongside being a previous Cats Protection volunteer, I've also worked in structured professional environments where trust, responsibility, organisation, and attention to detail were important every day.

I undertand that trusting someone in your home, and with your beloved pets - is a big decision.

That's why I focus on providing the kind of thoughtful, gentle, reliable care I'd want for my own cats.

Tailored Care for Your Pets

While cats are my speciality, my services can be adapted for other pets such as dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, birds and more as part of home visits.

I understand that every household and every cat routine is different - Including indoor cats, outdoor cats, and cats with cat flaps or specific access routines. I currently own two cats myself, and I understand that every cat has different routines, personalities and levels of independence - including indoor-only and cats with outdoor access.

Care is always tailored around your cat's normal routine and your preferences as the owner.

Limited Slots

To maintain a calm, reliable, high-quality service, I only take on a limited number of bookings and daily visits.

I currently cover Thetford, Brandon, Bury St Edmunds, Lakenhealth, Watton, Garboldisham, Mundford, Mildenhall,

and surrounding villages.
